Childcare/babysitting

Wrest Point can arrange qualifies external babysitters while on site, subject to availability. This can be pre-booked with Guest Services directly on 03 6221 1888. Rates are available on request.

Disability Access

All areas of Wrest Point are accessible for wheelchairs and either lift or ramp access available subject to the area you wish to visit.

Environmental Sustainability

Wrest Point’s location services as a constant reminder to the relation to the importance of running an environmentally friendly business. The business has an exute awareness of its impact on the local environment and employs strategies to build and organisational culture of sustainable operation.

Wrest Point complies with the highest environmentally responsible practices within the limits of the building, including:

  • Using grease pits to allow chemical and fatty waste to be retrieved rather than disposed of as sewage.
  • The implementation of an ORCA waste management system to “digest” all food waste, turning it into environmentally safe water
  • Planting and maintaining a kitchen garden, and buying in-season products from local providers in line with the products’ natural lifecycles.
  • Running a centralised sea water air conditioning system – rather than using energy to cool the water for the air conditioning, it is drawn from the River Derwent.
