Accommodation has been reserved at the following hotels with discounted rates for conference delegates. We recommend you book at least 60 days prior to the conference as hotels require unsold rooms to be released at 90, 60 and 30 days prior.

Within 30 days of the conference you will need to contact the hotel directly to see if the Conference rates are still available and whether there is any availability.

Set on absolute water frontage and close to Salamanca and the city centre, Wrest Point is the luxury viewing deck for Hobart’s many charms. Overlooking the tranquil river Derwent and stately kunanyi/Mount Wellington, the Wrest Point tower is Tasmania’s tallest building and is home to the renowned Point Revolving restaurant.

Few cities in the world combine metropolitan proximity with sprawling gardens, beaches and marinas as Hobart does. From Motel 429 it is a short drive to the Hobart CBD, Salamanca and the Docks where you will find great shopping, waterfront cafes, the famous Salamanca markets and the ferry terminal for Mona.

Full pre-payment is required at Motel 429, any bookings not pre-paid at the time of registration will be charged to the credit card provided at 30 days prior to the conference.

Bookings

The online registration form allows you to book available rooms at the above hotels. You need to provide credit card details, which will be forwarded to the hotel to guarantee your booking.

Please email us your accommodation requirements if you have already registered for the Conference.

Extended Bookings

Please email us if you wish to extend your accommodation booking before or after the Conference.

Payment

During the online registration process you can indicate your preference for accommodation payment – pre-payment or payment upon check out. All Incidental expenses need to be settled using credit card when you check out.

You can arrange to pay your accommodation using a third-party credit card, e.g. a colleague’s work credit card, by completing the Credit Card Authorisation form, which can be provided to you upon request.

All pre-payments need to be received 30 days prior to the conference.

Changes and Cancellations

Please note the cancellation policies listed for each hotel. Cancellations and no-shows will attract a fee of at least one night’s accommodation. However, each hotel’s policy varies and late cancellations and no-shows may be charged for all the nights booked.

Early Check-in Requests

Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability on the day and cannot be confirmed by Conference Design.

You can enter special requests for early check-in in the “Special Requests” field of your reservation. The hotel will do its best to accommodate your request on the day. Please enquire about the status of your request at the front desk upon check-in.
